Beyond our ability to provide our best expertise as healing practitioners of all kinds is the other half of our job - delivering the information we receive in ways that allow our clients to feel compassionately supported, understood, and safe enough to explore and come to peace with difficult situations, and to feel empowered to make informed decisions for themselves. Our delivery style is as important as our healing ability in our specific area of expertise. When our delivery is not effective, we can actually negate the good we might otherwise bring.
An effective delivery style in any helping profession
includes the qualities of compassion, empathy, genuineness, warmth, healthy
boundaries, sensitivity, non-judgment, and, of course, love. Yet
communicating these qualities is not automatic just because we feel them in
our hearts--they must be consciously and strategically applied in order for
the people we are helping to receive their healing benefit.
In the workshop, we discuss and practice the qualities and skills
known to facilitate effective helping relationships:
• Radiating Compassion, Love and Warmth:
• Being Fully Present as a Fellow Soul:
Genuineness, authenticity, and humility
• Framing Consultations to be Client Centered: Meeting the
client where they are, not where we are, or where we'd like
the client to be
• Emotional Empathy: the ability to feel someone else's
heart, feelings, and pain.
• Active Listening: the skill to communicate emotional empathy
• Soul Empathy: the ability to connect in love with the Light of
another's soul
• Gentle Questioning: to clarify and understand the story, issues, and goals
of the client
• Communicating Non-Judgment
• Healthy Boundaries: Understanding, Creating, Maintaining
• Appropriate Use of Self Disclosure
• Not Imposing Own Values, Solutions or Resources
• Facilitating Problem Solving
Beyond our ability to provide our best expertise as Shiatsu practitioners, animal communicators, energy healers, psychics, naturopaths, chiropractors, veterinarians, physicians, ministers, massage therapists and healing practitioners of all kinds, is the other half of our job ¾ delivering the information we receive in ways that allow our clients to feel compassionately supported. When our clients feel understood and safe, then they are free to explore and come to peace with difficult situations. The tools learned in this seminar will serve to empower clients to make informed decisions for themselves.
